Marina and Hoist
The yard is suitable for lorries and has a 40-tonne boat lift for lifting and launching boats up to 5.1 metres beam.
There is hard standing around the yard and at the edge of the marina allowing for winter storage, short repairs on the blocks or quick underwater repairs and maintenance in the boat lift slings.
A hydraulic boat parker and tractor are available for moving smaller boats in and out of restricted spaces and a forklift and cherry picker complete the logistics picture.
We own a marina that can accommodate up to 14-metre boats in finger berths and there is a riverside pontoon that provides a working berth with water, power and fuel supplies and further berthing for larger vessels.
Workshops and facilities
We have invested heavily in modern purpose-designed premises that allow a series of major operations to be carried out simultaneously.
The build/refit/repair workshop can house a 20 metre vessel at the rear of the yard and a second comfortably at the front.
There are overhead lifting facilities in each and access for the boat lift through the roller doors.
Each shop can be heated and maintained at a temperature suitable for GRP laminating work.
A third shop at the side of the yard is set up for paint spraying and coating work and is suitable for osmosis treatment.
It is heated and has dust suppression arrangements within the ventilation system.
We also have all the normal facilities of a modern boatyard – extensive stores, two fitters’ workshops, an electrical workshop, a large joinery workshop, and a dedicated paint spraying booth.
Outside there is extensive hard standing, the marina and working berths, and the 40-tonne boat lift and launching dock.
